A commissioned work based on a scene towards the end of the 1940 film starring Henry Fonda and Jane Darwell as his mother.

The film was black and white and directed by John Ford. The original novel was written by John Steinbeck and follows the breakup of an American family during the Great Depression of the 1930s.
