The playing card idea came into my head beacause I had to submit a work of art that would be exhibited on the floor. In other words it had to make sense from every direction.
The lighting comes from my love of film noir.
The two naked queens on one card became a good way to show the light and dark side of the same person. They are both protecting each other from the viewer or the outside world.
The title is obvious and also happens to be one of my favourite songs.
